基本的意味＝「これ」

中学校で一番最初に習う「This is a pen.」のような言い方はあまり使われないらしい。

☆This is + (what, whereなど) + 主語 + 動詞
　　This is what I want.
　　これが私の欲しいものです。
　　This is the problem we have to discuss.
　　これは私たちが話し合わなければならない問題です。

☆This is + 人
　　This is George.
　　こちらがジョージです。

This is what I told you yesterday!
これは昨日言ったことでしょ！
This is where we first met.
僕たちが初めて出会った場所はここだ。
This is why I'm here.
これが僕がここにいる理由です。
This is the way I sleep.
これが僕の眠り方です。

This is what I like best.　　　　　私の一番好きなものはこれです。
This is the bracelet I like best.　私の一番好きなブレスレットはこれです。
I like this bracelet.　　　　　　　このブレスレットが好き。
This is where you bought it?
